This is the oldest information about the origins of the building where our revived Starý Svět guesthouse is located today. The historical peripeteia of this building are varied, some worth noticing, others we may never be able to trace.
However, the dating of the first records of the "Hotel America" led us to the idea of restoring, or at least bringing our guests closer to the times long gone. A time when sitting down with friends over a good meal and a drink was a pleasant and natural part of both weekdays and holidays. We would like to transfer the nostalgia of the first republic life to everyone who visits us. Slow down your hectic pace of life and work and enjoy the comfort. Satisfy your body and soul and try to travel back to the times when life flowed a little slower.

Behind the windows with red geraniums, in a place with a green tiled fireplace at its heart and a chef with a soul you won't find anywhere else. Accept our sincere invitation, enjoy long forgotten times and discover the flavours that will awaken memories of your grandmother's kitchen.
